| | Model of the car: | Intrepid ES | | | General comments: | Bought this car new in 1995 for about $22,000. Thought it was great until the 36,000 mile warranty expired. At 36,500 miles, the transmission totally failed. At 40,000 miles the water pump went out and the Dodge dealer told me that that was normal. The front end started to get loose and rattley. I went through about 8 tires because of problems with the rims. The air conditioning was bad from the start and I was informed that they had extended the warranty to 70,000 miles. I had the air conditioner replaced twice and it still didn't work right. It now will be 5 years old in March, has 105,000 miles and I have one payment left. The transmission has failed AGAIN! Needless to say, I am currently looking for a new vehicle but it won't be any type of Dodge | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | BAD transmission, BAD air conditioner, BAD water pump. | | | Previous car: | Chrysler LeBaron |
