| | Model of the car: | Intrepid | | | General comments: | Living along lake Erie I have become accustomed to driving in snow and the intrepids wide wheel base makes driving in snowy conditions an absolute breeze. I can't imagine an SUV being worth $10,000 more for the 4x4 option a better buy. I don't even have the Traction Control option. The 3.3L V6 provides more than enough power, I believe 161 HP, its still the best looking car on the road, I know 2 other people who own the old style Intrepid and none of us have had those infamous Transmission problems. I just turned 94,000 miles and the only replaced item on the car was a ball joint in the front passenger side wheel which was causing a "knock" sound on left turns. Did not affect the performance of the car. Overall, very reliable when treated nicely.
