Dodge Intrepid 3.5l

Model of the car:Dodge Intrepid 3.5l
General comments:I would not recommend this car to anyone looking for a reliable car. If you want a roomy car with great styling that you drive infrequently, and have the ready cash for repairs, why buy this? Read the reviews, water pumps, AC problems, transmission problems for all Dodge Intrepids from 1993 to 1997. If you are looking for a used car, go with the Hondas and Toyotas. These kind of repairs are far too expensive too dismiss or gamble on.
What things have gone wrong with the car:I DO keep up with maintainance on my vehicle and right now I am looking at replacing the water pump for the second time in 13 months. That a car would need 3 water pumps is outrageous. What kind of maintainance a water pumps needs is beyond me. This is a well documented problem with the 3.5 liter engine and Dodge Intrepids. I saved my self $500 dollars by doing it myself, but replacing the water pump is a major hassle and very time consuming as you have to take off the front engine cover and both belts, replace the timing belt and then re-adjust the timing. The front end has started to make some rattling noises. The car now has 72000 miles on it. I have not as yet had any problems with the A
Previous car:no similiar car experience, I owned a 1993 Chevy Corsica and a '76 Chevy Impala.
