Dodge Intrepid
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Intrepid | | | General comments: | Transmission! Dealer re-programmed transmission under warranty at 20k and 50k for shifting problems. Then dealer rebuilt trans at about 75k. Dodge reluctantly warrantied the parts only. I had to pay for labor aprox $500. Now car has 110k needs another transmission. $2000 for rebuild at repair shop. Dealer wanted $3000 to swap it out. Also fuel pump went out twice. Engine computer and power windows went out. All covered by Dodge warranty. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Unreliable transmission. Needs re-programming while under warranty and re-building when out. Every 20k to 30k miles??? Note this is the sport model with 16"tires. Both of my neighbors have the Chrysler version of Intrepid and have had trans replaced under warranty. |
