| | Model of the car: | Intrepid | | | General comments: | Although the Ford has been completely trouble free and the Intrepid is currently having a rebuilt transmission installed, I suspect the reason is that the taurus is SO DAMNED BORING to drive, I don't ever really want to play with it because it's no fun, the intrepid on the other hand is Nimble (for a larger car), responsive and powerful. where the ford is dull plodding and sluggish. Maybe I drive the intrepid to hard but I just can't help it, no such problem with the taurus. also the transmission is completely covered by the EXTENDED WARRANTY (and if you by a used car without one of these your a fool to begin with, and a fool and his money are soon parted). In conclusion, if you want a very reliable boring slow and ugly grocery getter of a car, get a taurus or other ford, if you want something fun get an intrepid, if you take care of it and don't abuse it (like me) it will run for you, and maybe even give an occasional adrenaline rush. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | door seals, remote door locks don't work as well as I would like | | | Previous car: | 98 ford tortoise, i mean taurus (I own one of those also) The Intrepid is VASTLY superior |
