| | Model of the car: | Base | | | General comments: | I bought this car with 7000 miles on it and drive it extensively. Overall it has a been a good car for the money, but not excellent. There have a been some problems, which generally seem to exist on all 98 Intrepids. I will detail those in weaknesses. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | -Check engine light would go on and off. This was finally fixed by replacing the catalytic sensors.
-Brakes needed to be completely replaced because the factory parts are cheap.
-Power window motor needed to be replaced.
-New Battery installed (watch out because repair shops will charge labor since it is hard to get to.)
-New tires (Factory tires only lasted 42,000 miles) | | | Previous car: | None |
