| | Model of the car: | Dodge Intrepid | | | General comments: | I bought this car because it was the only one on the lot that I could afford that didn't look hideous. I had no opinion either way, I'd never owned a dodge vehicle. I fell in love with it the first week. The ride is smooth, it looks slick, the radio kicks. However, last week (after having the car for only 2 months) my car started having transmission problems. The input and output sensors went out at the same time and the car got stuck in 2nd gear. The car is only at 60,000 miles and I had everything checked and serviced when I bought it. I've been informed by several mechanics that these cars are notorious for chronic transmission problems and that the engines go bad quick. I still have to pay for this car for 4 more years and I don't believe I'll be purchasing another one. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | not as much power as I felt it should have |
